The National Gallery of Armenia (NGA) was founded in 1921, is the country’s major art gallery. NGA has about 40 000 pieces of art. The program is aimed at discovering its collection as well as the masterpieces by the renowned artists exhibited in the leading world museums. The volunteers are given an opportunity to get an aesthetic education in specific museum atmosphere and to spend eventful time. Thematic- interactive, educational programs are organized for children including film and cartoon viewing, workshops. The volunteer will assist the excursion department.The work will be entertaining and educational. The volunteer will discover painters, treasures, learn the history of the art and the science of museology in general. The volunteer will be given a task to moderate social media pages. The project is organised by the support of HUJ-Voluntary Service of Armenia. The duration of the project is 8-12 months.
